JumpStart
You can take college classes while you're still in high school. They're called Jump Start! classes. Take a class and get high school and college credit.
More and more high school students enroll every year. With a little help from your high school counselor, you can work in a bunch of college-level classes before you even graduate. Some motivated high school students have graduated from high school and earned their A.A. degree from college at the same time. That's two full years of college credit - before they even graduate high school! Imagine: graduate from high school in the spring and start college in the fall as a junior. Wow!
What classes can I take?
You can take all kinds of college classes - from Anatomy to Welding and everything in between. Whether you're aiming for a B.A. at a four-year college or a two-year program right here at SCC, you have plenty to choose from. Some classes are offered at SCC, some online, and still others right at your own high school.
Available programs
Not all high schools in our area offer the same college-level classes. Your best bet is to talk to your high school guidance counselor for the complete scoop. If you're ready to enroll in a Jump Start! class (and have everything you need from your high school guidance counselor), Apply For Jump Start! now.
